Our lab disposed a suit of computer-controlled measurement system for microscopic fluorescence determination including EPC-9.This system combines patch clamp technique and microfluorescence measurement technique . This system can quantitative detect ion channel current of the cell membrane and intracellular free calcium concentration at the same time , and it can be used to detect single events of exocytosis or secretion by membrane capacity measurement and carbon fiber electrode technique . Using this system, research in many fields of physiology, pharmacology, toxicology , neurology etc, can be performed. For example, we use it to study the mechanism of the ion channel, the mechanism of the regulation of intracellular calcium and the molecular mechanism of the secretion.
